Abstract Art Demo by Kimberly Christy - February NAG Meeting 2019

The Niagara Arts Guild's February meeting featured local Fine Artist, Kimberly Christy.

If you live in the Lockport area or follow Kim on Instagram you may be familiar with her beautiful abstract expressionism style paintings.

For this presentation she brought a few tables worth of her recent work so that guild members could get an up close look.

Kim then gave us a paintng demo all while answering questions about the materials, various techniques, and thought processes that go into creating many of her paintings.

Layers and layers of paint and scribbles, a fully finished painting takes hours, but even just seeing this far into Kim's painting process was absolutely fascinating. Thank you for the demonstration Kim!

And continuing on with the, “Artist Remembered”,  series, Arts Guild member Judy Collins gave a fun presentation on the interesting backstory of living Artist and local gallery owner, Jack DiMaggio. Select clips of Judy's presentation can be found in the videos section of the Niagara Arts Guild Facebook page.

Thanks for the great presentation Judy!

The Niagara Arts Guild meets every third Friday of the month, at the Dale Center in Lockport NY, with presentations and Art demos at every meeting - New members welcome!
