Detailed Still Life Watercolor Painting Demo by Sherryl Perez - May NAG Meeting 2019

May's  Niagara Arts Guild's meeting featured local artist Sherryl Perez.

Sherryl is a signature member of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society and board member of Buffalo Niagara Art Association, and at this month's meeting she showed members of the Niagara Arts Guild how she created a variety of effects with watercolor paint.

(Interesting and unique tools to the trade included mist bottles and paper clips.)

Sherryl then demonstrated how she is able to work from references to recreate decorative glass vases in her still life paintings.

And, by request, she then finished up her presentation by giving the Arts guild a quick demo on how she paints her absolutely gorgeous cherries.

Thank you Sherryl!

Continuing on with the, “Artist Remembered”,  series, Arts Guild member Kyle Lefort also gave an informative presentation on the life and career of the late artist, Tony Sisti. Some of Sisti's work can be viewed at Sisti Gallery North in Pendleton, NY.

Thanks for the great presentation Kyle!

The Niagara Arts Guild meets every third Friday of the month, at the Dale Center in Lockport NY, with presentations and Art demos at every meeting - New members welcome!
